On Thursday 20 October 2011, H.E. Bede Cory, Ambassador of New Zealand made a donation in the amount of NZD 100,000 (approx. Baht 2,300,000) on behalf of the New Zealand Government and people to Mr. Phan Wannamethee, Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society, to help flood victims. The Secretary General expressed the deep appreciation of the Thai Red Cross for the generous support and thanked the Ambassador on behalf of the people affected by the floods. The Ambassador also visited and chatted with young volunteers who were helping to pack relief kits.
