Highlights
- In most city and district food markets, average prices for first grade flour, higher grade flour, locally produced flour, vegetable oil, cottonseed oil, sugar and rice remain variable due to decreasing and increasing stocks in local markets.
- Average mutton and but beef prices increase by 1 % in the city and district markets, but chicken and beans prices remain volatile depending on the increase or decrease in their stocks.
- Over the last week, the average price of eggs remained unchanged. But compared to the last year, the price decreased by 1%.
- The average prices for vegetables such as potatoes, onions, carrots and cabbage increased in most markets (potatoes by 4% onions by 9%, carrots by 19% and cabbage by 9%)
