Situation Overview
Heavy rains on 28 March – 2 April of 2015 in Tajikistan triggered a landslide in Khanjar gorge of Sholipoya area in Yakkabedi village. The landslide occurred on 3rd of April 2015, at approximately 13:10 PM. Its volume was estimated at 175000m3.
Khanjar gorge of Sholipoya area is located in Yakkabedi village, Mehrobodi Jamoat, Fayzobod District of Direct Rule Districts (western Tajikistan, 40-45 km from Dushanbe, 20 km from Vahdat City and 18 km from the center of Fayzobod District).
