The ADB program in Tajikistan has provided loans, grants and technical assistance to grow the country’s economy and improve the lives of people, particularly the poor, women, children and other vulnerable groups.
ADB has provided Tajikistan with about $1.4 billion in concessional loans, grants, and technical assistance since 1998.
ADB plans to support inclusive economic growth in Tajikistan with an estimated program of $241 million in 2016–2018. This investment pipeline will fund structural reforms to strengthen the investment climate, develop transport and energy infrastructure, upgrade skills, improve water resources management, and shore up food security.
