Over the past three days, UNRWA has completed three successful missions to Yalda, an area adjacent to Yarmouk, which is hosting a large number of displaced civilians.
UNRWA delivered essential humanitarian materials, including food , water purification treatments, mattresses, blankets, family kitchen sets and hygiene kits. UNRWA has treated 304 patients in Yalda so far after establishing a mobile health point. This live-saving assistance was provided to families affected by the recent eruption of violence in Yarmouk, Palestinians and Syrians alike.
UNRWA is deeply concerned about the civilians who remain trapped inside Yarmouk, with severely restricted access to food, water and healthcare. UNRWA stands ready to resume humanitarian operations inside Yarmouk as soon as access becomes possible.
