SITUATION ANALYSIS

  • Grave child rights violations continue through 2018, including children killed and injured, the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict, as well as torture, detention, abduction, sexual violence, attacks on schools and hospitals and the denial of humanitarian access country (such as in Rukban, located at the buer zone with Jordan that was not reached by humanitarian aid since January 2018).

  • While population movements continued, especially in Deir-ez-Zor, Aleppo and Idlib governorates,
UNICEF continues to provide psychosocial support and awareness raising education on the dangers of unexploded remnants of war.
