  • Four days into the ‘pause’ in fighting, hostilities continue to be reported with sporadic clashes taking place in Tal Abyad.

  • As of 21 Oct, more than 152,0001 people have been displaced from Hassakeh (96,088), Raqqa (39,463) and Aleppo governorates (16,640), including between camps. 80, 000 of the displaced are children.

  • 43,000 people have returned to their places of origin – 18,000 to Al Hassakeh (8,500 to Qamishli & 9,500 to Al Malikeyyeh sub-districts) and 25,000 to Ar-Raqqa (18,000 to Tal Abyad and 7,000 to Suluk sub-districts)

  • Overall, 56 collective shelters (55 in Al Hassakeh and 1 in Ar-Raqqa governorates) are now accommodating 10,860 people (2,243 families). Assessments in collective shelters are currently ongoing across multiple sectors.
