HIGHLIGHTS

• Hostilities continue to affect different parts of Syria, resulting in civilian casualties, displacement and restricted humanitarian access.

• UN and partners appeal for $2 billion to cover activities to respond to the most immediate needs of 8 million people targeted countrywide till June 2025.

• Population movements and renewed displacement continue in Syria, with around 674,000 people newly displaced since November. Over 1.05 million people have returned to their areas of origin, including 444,000 people who were internally displaced in the country prior to 27 November.

• Departures from camps remain limited, with around 158,000 people leaving camps in north-west Syria since December. Damaged homes, inadequate services, and the threat of unexploded ordnance are key barriers to return.

• Since the start of 2025, 859 trucks carrying aid from seven UN agencies have crossed from Türkiye to Syria—more than eight times the number during the same period last year.
