Syrian Arab Republic: 2017 UN Inter-Agency Humanitarian Operations (as of 15 February 2017)

Since the beginning of 2017, the UN and partners successfully delivered multi-sectoral assistance through inter-agency operations, reaching over 285,000 people in besieged and hard-to-reach areas with dire humanitarian needs. A total of three inter-agency convoys have been undertaken. In addition, during 2017, 20 WFP-led airdrops dispatched 413.1 metric tons of food supplies for the besieged parts of Deir-ez-Zor city. The fourth round of food distribution for 93,500 people was completed on 10 January. During 2017, 73 airlifts to Quamishli have delivered 2,478.7 metric tons of food, WASH, nutrition, health and NFIs on behalf of UN and partners.
