Syrian Arab Red Crescent Calls for Protection to its Volunteers

While they were carrying out their duty in evacuating four humanitarian cases, The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) cars came under fire despite of coordination with all parties on ground on Tuesday 9 February 2016.

However, SARC team continued on its mission and was able to evacuate the cases and deliver them to the specialized hospitals in Damascus.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent calls on all parties to respect SARC emblem, to provide protection for SARC teams and enable them to carry out their humanitarian missions, which aimed to alleviate sufferings of the most vulnerable people.

It is worth to mention that SARC teams work in commitment with the fundamental principles of the Intentional Movement of the Red Cross Red crescent.
