Highlights: Capacity Building & Fuel Transport

  • The Logistics Cluster in Syria organised a Warehouse Commodity Management Training for humanitarian organisations in Amman from 31 March to 2 April. The training included a half-day, hands-on session at the WFP Warehouse in Amman. 29 participants from seven humanitarian organisations attended the training, including staff members from IFRC, IOM, MSF, Save the Children, UNRWA, UNHCR, and WFP.

  • The Logistics Cluster supported the provision of 100,000 litres of fuel for the population currently hosted in 70 shelters in Homs, Hama and Rural Damascus governorates. This was carried out in partnership with WFP and UNHCR, as part of the Joint UN Winterization Strategy for Syria.
