KEY MESSAGES

• Shelter and NFIs were most frequently reported as the first priority need within areas of conflict (57% of KIs). Within areas of displacement, this was 31%.

• In Ashrafiyeh, on average, KIs reported 44% of buildings were damaged, with 12% of these reportedly severely damaged and 12% completely destroyed. In Sheikh Maqsoud, KIs reported on average 25% of buildings were damaged, with 5% of these severely damaged and 12% completely destroyed.

• In areas of conflict, reported protection concerns differed by gender. For women, the most frequently reported concern was heightened community tensions (59% of KIs), while for men the primary concern was the risk of being killed or injured (62% of KIs).

• In 5 displacement sites, assistance was reportedly not being provided, while in 3 displacement sites, there were mixed reports regarding the provision of assistance. In displacement sites where assistance was reported, this was mostly food assistance (100% of sites) and NFIs (50% of sites).
