This 2025 Syria Mine Action AoR Year in Review info-sheet captures the scale and impact of life-saving mine action delivered across the country over the past year. Despite immense operational constraints, partners surveyed over 2.9 billion m² of land, destroyed more than 27,000 explosive items, and reached hundreds of thousands of people with explosive ordnance risk education, and provided critical victim assistance services including rehabilitation and prosthetic support for EO survivors. The info-sheet offers a snapshot of both the human toll of contamination and the collective response working to reduce it.
