Highlights

• A total of 259 297 consultations were recorded in all the 14 governorates in week 43.

• The leading causes of morbidity among all age groups were influenza-like illnesses (59.4%) and acute diarrhea (26.9%).

• 16 suspected measles cases were reported during week 43. The blood specimens of all cases were collected and tested at the reference laboratory in Damascus. The laboratory result showed all cases negative for measles.

• Two acute flaccid paralysis cases were reported in week 43, each from Hama and Deir-ez-Zor.
