Needs inside and out of Syria continue to expand with an increasing number of refugees and Internally Displaced People. Outside Syria there are now estimated to be over 2.2 million child refugees, and inside Syria 6 million children in need of humanitarian assistance, including 2.8 million displaced children.
With winter now beginning in the middle-east there is a risk that the most vulnerable families and their children will face a dicult period without scaled up assistance. UNICEF, with partners in the shelter and NFI sector, is planning to reach 2.6 million children and requires US$ 63 million to meet the current funding gap.
