SARI Global has tracked and analyzed a surge of incidents pointing to a serious breakdown in local control across the Jableh–Qadmus–Tartous axis:
• Armed groups opened fire on a government convoy in Beit Anah, injuring two soldiers
• Artillery shells and barrel bombs struck multiple villages in the Jableh Mountains and countryside
• Coordinated attacks in Qusour and Ain Al-Qouz left civilians dead, homes looted and burned
• Protest suppression in Tartous City highlights growing public discontent beyond frontline zones
• Casualties were also reported in Al Mukhtariyya, reflecting spillover into the Qadmus area
• In Daliyah, local mediation temporarily defused an attempted mass arrest
