Qatar Charity's support for emergency education for Syrians has been extended. Its educational program for the 2015-2016 school year is currently worth more than QAR 12 million (USD 3.3 million). This latest program will include the renewed printing of more than 1.7 million school text books for free distribution; the repair, construction and operation of schools and both providing additional teacher training and financially supporting Syrian teachers who themselves are internally displaced or refugees.
A temporary 6000 square meter school for refugees shall be built in the southern Turkish city of Antioch, Turkey and more than fifty schools in Aleppo Province shall be repaired. One year of operational costs were also committed by Qatar Charity.
