Displacement updates in North-West Syria
As of June 2023, there are approximately 2.74 million IDPs living in North-West Syria, with 1.97 million residing in IDP sites registered in ISIMM. This brings the total population in North-West Syria to close to 4.6 million.
According to the CCCM Cluster, their database includes 1,531 IDP sites that currently house 1,965,074 IDPs or 372,849 families. Of these, 80% are women and children, and 84,078 IDPs are reported to be persons with disabilities. In June, 18 new sites were added, while 12 sites were inactivated.
The top three sub-district of arrival were Dana (980,797IDP), Maaret Tamsrin (248,669IDP), and Azaz (187,989 IDP) sub-district.
