Weekly Health Sector Situation Reports
We have switched from daily to weekly reporting on earthquake response.

  • I will be expecting to receive regular weekly inputs from you by COB, each Wednesday.
There will not be any reminders or additional emails. Please make sure that your inputs
are aligned within 3 key points: needs; response; gaps and constraints.
  • Those of you at the central level in Damascus, you are required to provide your inputs
    directly to me.

Sub-national health sector coordinators (Dr Fares/Aleppo; Dr Hamza/Lattakia; Dr
Nadia/Hama) will be responsible for collecting specific hub updates against 3 key points:
needs; response; gaps and constraints.

3 hub sector coordinators will be sharing their inputs directly with me, NOT OCHA at hub level.

  • In parallel, please make sure that your IM focal points report regularly by COB, each
Wednesday, against the attached and standard health sector EQ tracking tool. Contact
person is Health Sector IM focal person, MAHMOUD, Abdalghani mahmoudab@who.int.
He will ensure that we will have consolidated figures of our response and share this with
    OCHA Damascus for further integration.

Please note that Abdalghani will be reaching to you/your respective IM focal points through
a separately maintained email list: health-sector-syria-im@googlegroups.com

Once I receive inputs directly from you, respective 3 hubs and IM focal points, I will finalize
consolidation and immediate submission to OCHA by COB, each Thursday.
