Syria – Saturday, 24 May 2025 – The SRTF is thrilled to announce receiving a new contribution of EUR 1.34 million from Denmark, marking its 11th contribution since the Fund’s establishment.

This generous contribution brings Denmark’s total contributions to the Fund to around EUR 28.07 million and the total contributions by all 12 donors to an estimated EUR 374.07 million.

Such funds will be allocated to projects aimed at continuing stabilisation operations across various sectors.

The Danish Under-Secretary for Development Policy, Mr. Ole Thonke, stated: “We are glad to continue our engagement with the SRTF and increase our support to stabilisation efforts in North East Syria. The Fund’s efforts and achievements, especially in the face of a complex environment, reflect its unwavering commitment to improving lives on the ground. We remain committed to supporting the SRTF’s contribution to Syria’s recovery and long-term stability.”

The SRTF’s Director General, Eng. Hani Khabbaz, stated: “We extend our sincere gratitude to Denmark and its people for their generosity and continued support. Since its inception, the SRTF has positively impacted over 16.5 million beneficiaries by restoring essential services, including but not limited to healthcare, water and sanitation (WASH), electricity, food security, agriculture, livelihoods, and access to finance. Donors’ unwavering commitment enables the SRTF to continue its operations and reach even more Syrians in need. Now, more than ever, following the fall of the Assad regime, we must seize the opportunity to create meaningful change, stabilise communities, and build a better future for families who have endured so much. Stabilisation, recovery, and long-term sustainability in Syria are within reach thanks to partners like Denmark.”
