The Child Protection Context Analysis focuses on child recruitment by armed groups and forces in Syria. The field work and exercises were conducted in Idleb and Aleppo end of 2024. The report provides key insights, informing prevention and response programme for Children Associated with Armed Forces and Groups (CAAFAG), including patterns, modalities and reasons behind child recruitment in Syria. The report further expands to identify risk factors for partners and stakeholders implementing CAAFAG programmes as well as highlighting existing protective factors.
