Paris, May 27th 2014 – French NGO ACTED is pleased to announce the release of its employee, Federico Motka, who was taken hostage in Syria, while working in the framework of ACTED’s relief activities in favor of conflict-affected Syrian populations.

ACTED teams are thrilled to hear of the release of their colleague, who is in good health and in security.

Federico will soon be reunited with his family. We will make sure to provide them with all the support their need, while ensuring the privacy of our colleague and that of his relatives.

Today our thoughts also go towards all of those, humanitarian workers and journalists among others, still held hostage in Syria and throughout the world.

No further declaration will be made by ACTED on this topic.
