Highlights

  • 11 million people are displaced across Sudan, with 559,277 newly displaced in November.1 Disruptions in humanitarian access continued to hamper the delivery of life-saving supplies for children.
  • 621,400 children and families have improved access to water through UNICEF's support, while 926,700 people benefited from handwashing and cholera prevention initiatives.
  • UNICEF delivered 4.5 million vaccine doses to Sudan and dispatched kits to treat 580,000 children for childhood and neonatal illnesses over four months.
  • Through national partners, 20 soup kitchens served 14,000 people daily across five localities in North Darfur.
  • UNICEF’s response is 56 per cent funded, with urgent support required to sustain critical WASH, child protection, health, and nutrition services.
