Deputy Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Sudan, Vesna Vukovic, said that buses have been arranged to transport the almost 500 southern returnees, mostly women and children, who have been camping at Juba Way Station since they arrived in Juba from Kosti last weekend. She further added that when they arrive in Juba, some returnees have to wait for their luggage to arrive from Kosti. Belongings of the current batch of returnees are expected to arrive in the next few days. Most of them are heading towards Eastern Equatoria state.
Talking to Radio Miraya, the returnees said that their basic needs are being met and they hope to reach their final destinations soon.
