Sudanese government agrees to involve Chad in Doha talks over Darfur
The Spokesperson of the Government delegation
to the Doha talks, Al Sartai Jaafar AbdalHakim, confirmed that the next
round of talks will witness the participation of active parties in the
Darfur issue, with Chad topping the list. AlSarti said in a press statement,
that Chad participation will push the negotiations forward, considering
the Justice and Equality Movement, JEM, is present in Chad, and is morally
and financially supported by the country. The Chadian presidential delegation
headed by its Foreign Minister, Mussa Feki, continues negotiations in Khartoum
with Sudanese officials. Earlier, the two sides had agreed to stop hostilities
and implement the previously signed Peace agreements.
