Key Points
• Fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation
Movement – North (SPLM-N) forces continues to affect civilians in Blue Nile and South Kordofan states.
• UNHCR reports that an estimated 28,500 Sudanese refugees from Blue Nile State have entered Ethiopia.
• Sudan’s Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) reports that some 35,000 people remain displaced in various locations of South Kordofan State. This does not include SPLM-N areas.
• An attack on UNAMID in North Darfur leaves three peacekeepers dead and six more injured.
• The country director of an international NGO, Fellowship for African Relief (FAR) has been expelled from Sudan by the Government. No official reason has been given for the expulsion.
