20 December 2010 - Following last week's clashes between Sudanese Armed Forces and Sudan Liberation Army / Minni Minnawi in Khor Abeche, South Darfur, UNAMID peacekeepers are currently carrying out a verification patrol of the area.
The Mission continues to safeguard civilians sheltered outside its nearby team site and is also currently working to secure air access to the region for humanitarian missions.
