Highlights

UNJLC has completed a light vehicle convoy from Khartoum to Darfur. Sixteen vehicles reached Fasher and Nyala safely. The convoy was organised in conjunction with UNDSS, and provided with armed escort by AMIS.

Recently updated 'Roads: Practicability and Seasonal Conditions' map for Southern Sudan is available from the GIS/mapping Unit in Juba. (www.unjlc.org)

The FEWS NET Darfur Rain Timeline and Seven Day Forecast will be posted weekly on the UNJLC website throughout the rainy season.

Common Surface Transport to Darfur, open to all humanitarian agencies, has been completed for this season. Approximately 550 MT capacity has been used in pre-positioning relief goods in light of upcoming rains.
