Sudan: Tribal clashes in Tortora area, East of Kass
KASS (12 Jan.) - Tribal clashes broke out
again yesterday between to Arab tribes the Mahadi and Tarjam in Tortoora
area, East of Kass. Sources told Radio Dabanga the clash left two persons
from Tarjem and one from Mahadi dead and injuring four others.
A resident from the area who witnessed saw the wounded being transported to Kass hospital for treatment. He indicated that the police intervention put an end to the fighting between the two tribes, adding that the fighting may erupt any time as long as they have weapons.
