Sudan: Refugees Commission Adopts Measures for Legalizing Status of Refugees and Immigrants

Khartoum, Dec. 30 (SUNA) - The Commission for Refugees has adopted package of procedures to legalize the status of the immigrants and those who infiltrated inside Sudan from neighbouring countries toward maintaining security and stability in the country. The Commissioner for Refugees, Dr. Mohamed Al-Agbash, said in a statement to SUNA that the legalization measures for the infiltrators and immigrants aims to giving them the required documents to identify their legal status, adding that these measures will be adopted in coordination with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). He referred to the necessity for coordination and cooperation with the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Interior prior to studying applications of the asylum seekers and recommending to send them to their home lands.
