Sudan: Rahad river floods submerge Al-Wahidu village in Gadarif State

Al-Wahidu village in Al-Mafaza locality of Gadarif State has been completely submerged by water due to Rahad River flooding, following rain in the Ethiopian Heights. The Mayer of the locality, Abdu Al-Aziem Hassan Bashir, told Radio Miraya that water destroyed 70 houses and about 500 people were evacuated to neighboring Abrkham village.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Administration has announced full readiness for rain expected in Khartoum within the coming two days.
