Khartoum, July 10 (SUNA) - Senior Assistant of the President of the Republic and Chairman of Transitional Darfur Regional Authority (TDRA), Meni Arko Menawi, has expressed appreciation for the efforts being exerted by the African Union (AU) to reach comprehensive peace in Darfur. Menawi reviewed in his meeting at the Republican Palace Tuesday with AU special envoy for Darfur, Dr. Salem Ahmed Salem, efforts being exerted for completion of the process of peace and stability in Darfur. Dr. Salem said to SUNA that the meeting was fruitful and tackled the outcome of his visit to Darfur and the meetings he held with leaders of the movements that did not sign Abuja peace agreement, including Dr. Khalil Ibrahim, explaining that these efforts represent key steps to enhance the process of negotiations and to complete efforts of peace in Darfur.
