Highlights

• Kenya Transport Cost increase: To reflect increased fuel costs and other operational expenses, commercial transporters in Kenya increased transport costs by 72% in March 2011. Importers will have to pay more for transportation of cargo from Mombassa to various destinations. (Daily Nation, 13 March 2011).

• UNHAS Flights: UNHAS resumed flights to: Beida, Habila, Bindizi, Kerenik, on 13 March 2011 and is now flying to South Kordafan once every week.

• UNMIS: during the WFP-Logistics Coordination meeting held on 14 March, UNMIS advised of its flights between El Obeid and Juba.
