HIGHLIGHTS

  • A surge in cholera cases in Kosti locality and surrounding areas of White Nile State infected about 2,900 people and claimed 65 lives in February.
  • Aid agencies are working towards a decentralized humanitarian coordination system, empowering local actors to lead response efforts.
  • The Sudan Humanitarian Fund allocated US$30 million in February for programmes in areas experiencing or at risk of famine, while the Central Emergency Response Fund provided $22 million for famine relief, returnee support, cholera response and enabling services.
