Fighting continues to displace people in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, while in Abyei there have not yet been any large-scale returns of those who fled the area in 2011. In Darfur, updated figures indicate that some 140,000 people returned voluntarily to their homes in 2011, exceeding the number of people newly displaced during the same period. People of South Sudanese origin continue to return to South Sudan.
