Attachments

The attached excel file is the updated Sudan Health Cluster 4W template in 2024.

All the HC partners must fill the template and send to healthcluster.im@who.int on a weekly basis, every Wednesday before COB. That information will be compiled and processed to generate the HC dashboard, update the maps, and orient the decision-making process.

Please click on the "Humanitarian" tab to enter information by your respective organization, by State, locality and health Facility. Each place and activity must be in a separate row.

PLEASE SAVE the file following this structure: organizationacronym_YYYYMMDD _4w.xlsx

EXAMPLES: GOAL_2023019 _4w.xlsx or CARE_2023019_4w.xlsx

For more information, please contact to healthcluster.im@who.int

What are the 4W?

-An attempt to show the operational presence by sector and location within an emergency.
-At this basic level, the 4W can enable organizations to help identify potential partners, quickly give a very rough understanding of an ongoing response, and superficially identify potential overlaps or gaps in response.

Used by NGOs and Clusters

-To identify potential partners
-To start the process to make operational decisions
-To understand who is present
-To remove degrees of separation in order to speed up and improve efficiency of response
-To ask more informed questions of what is happening within a cluster

Used by the Government

-To enable preparedness
-To understand who is in country
-To connect with the various responders
-To monitor the emergency response inside

Used by OCHA

-To enable better preparedness before a new incident
-To enable coordination amongst actors in a response
-To leverage as a potential proxy indicator on other subjects

Used by Donors

-To help inform funding decisions
-To gather a better operational understanding
