Sudan: Fifty people killed in tribal clashes in Tonj, Warap State

More than forty people were killed and forty-five wounded in clashes between Dinka Luac communities of Tonj East County of Warap and armed groups from Unity State on 1st of January. Speaking to Miraya FM, Commissioner of Tonj North County, Deng Ayieny Aleu, said the attackers also abducted more than four thousand cows from local people.

Tonj County is demanding that the Governor of Warrap State meet with his counterpart from Unity State to resolve the problem and to return the looted cattle.
