Korma town is located approximately one hour's drive from the capital, within Al Fasher Locality. Since October 2025, humanitarian organizations have been attempting to gain access to Korma town. The area is reporting significant humanitarian gaps due to the continuous influx of IDPs that began with the Zamzam crisis in April 2025 and escalated with the El Fasher crisis starting in October 2025. According to the first humanitarian visit on 6th of November 2025, there are approximately 51,000 IDPs residing in one camp. IDPs’ main priority needs are Water, Health and access to food security and livelihood. On 11 of November 2025, humanitarian organizations including SI visited the site again and conducted multi-sectoral joint assessment. The assessment report is being prepared at the time of this alert summary report by SI and humanitarian partners external to the FaSER consortium and is expected to be published in the coming days.
