Khartoum, Aug. 24 (SUNA)- Deputy Chairman of Darfur Peace Implementation Team, Ambassador Bobu Neyang, has welcomed al the initiatives which are aimed to convince the non signatory parties of Darfur peace agreement to get engaged in peace talks. In a press statement to SUNA, he said that the mediation team of the United Nations and the African Union are working to facilitate holding of negotiations, explaining that they made contacts with the concerned circles and called on all the movements and concerned circles to participate in the coming negotiations. He said that the special envoys of the UN Security Council and the African Union are acknowledging Darfur peace agreement, adding that the African Union is concentrating on the items that are needy for handling so as to guarantee success of the coming negotiations. He said that the government expressed its consideration to the aspirations of Darfur movements. He said that the have got informed from the press about an initiative being conducted by the Senegalese President, Abdalla Wade, on contacts with Darfur movements in response to a call of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir.
