Executive Summary
- In 2009, the Non-Food Item (NFI) & Emergency Shelter (ES) Common Pipeline in Darfur supported a total of 586,464 households. This included 549,161 households of IDPs requiring replenishment, 29,161 newly-displaced households and 8,142 households of other beneficiaries. In total, 34% of households served were located in North Darfur, 35% in South Darfur and 31% in West Darfur.
- In December, 113,058 households were supported with 652,720 essential items.
- UNJLC recommends that all coordinating partners provide information regarding other secured funding, in order to maintain an accurate overall sector perspective and effectively advocate for additional funding when available.
- UNJLC encourages all partners to share information about their other pipeline and/or supplementary NFI activities.
