Sudan: British Govt in €900,000 grant to GOAL

GOAL has received a grant of €900,000 from the British Government to mount a major relief operation in Western Sudan, affecting 600,000 people displaced people by the escalation of violence there.

GOAL is the first organisation to be permitted to work in the region following an escalation of the civil war involving government troops and local rebels, and is providing primary healthcare, food distributions and other assistance to the vulnerable population.
