Sudan: 18 killed in tribal clashes in Jonglei State

At least 18 people were killed in a fresh tribal clashes over cattle in Ajuwara district of Akobo County, Jonglei State. The Chairman of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) youth league in Jonglei, Paul Kuakuak, said that the recent conflict involved the Anyuak and Murle communities.

Speaking to Radio Miraya, Kuakuak strongly condemned the incident and said that most of the victims are women and children. He further urged the rival communities to reconcile and maintain peaceful co-existence and harmony.
