Students attacked in Nyala

Nyala (16 Jan.) -

On Saturday night two students were attacked by gunmen in Nyala, South Darfur.

A relative of one of the victims said the two students were walking in town when the gunmen opened fire wounding one of them in the stomach. He was seriously injured and taken to hospital in Nyala.

The student had their mobile phones stolen. The incident was referred to local police.

In another incident in Nyala, three armed men attacked a citizen in the neighbourhood of El Nada near the abattoir in Mawashi market. The gunmen stole 260 Sudanese pounds and beat the victim with the ends of their guns.
