I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES

• Sporadic fighting between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) continues to be reported in Blue Nile State

• At least 50,000 people have fled their homes as a result of the fighting in Blue Nile State. Meanwhile, the Government is assisting some people to return to Ed Damazine town.

• UN agencies and international humanitarian organizations have not been granted permission to travel to Sennar State and secure parts of Blue Nile State to assess the situation and assist in providing emergency relief.
