- The government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide humanitarian assistance worth 100,000 US dollars to Sudan, which is suffering from the yellow fever outbreak.
- As of December 10, 2012, 32 of the 64 localities in Darfur, Sudan, have been affected by the disease, with 166 people dead and 788 others ill.

The aforementioned contribution will be used to provide yellow fever vaccines through the World Health Organization.

In the first half of the year, the ROK government contributed 400,000 and 300,000 US dollars to Sudan through the World Food Programme (WFP) and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, respectively, to help the country solve its food crisis and to provide relief for its refugees.
- In case of South Sudan, the ROK provided 400,000 US dollars to the country through the WFP in 2012.
