Rehabilitation of water supply system in Lui

The Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in the Government of Southern Sudan has announced the rehabilitation of Lui water supply system project on Saturday. The supply system was first constructed by missionaries in 1927 and is being rehabilitated by the German government's international aid arm GIZ.

GIZ's Project Manager, Dereje Mekonnen, said that the work on the water project is expected to finish in eight months. He added that it will supply clean water to a population of 17,000.
