Khartoum, Oct. 19 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Wednesday received a list on formation of an interim Government of South Sudan which will carry out its work till ratification of the Interim Constitution for South Sudan. The representative of the First Vice-President of the Republic and President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Dr. Justin Yak, who delivered the formation list to President Al-Bashir, said in a statement to SUNA that the formation of the south government complies with the comprehensive peace agreement, which assigned 70% to the SPLM, 15% to the National Congress and another 15% to the other southern parties. He said that South Sudan parliament has finalized the first reading stage of the interim constitution, adding that the constitution is currently being discussed in detail by the specialized committees before being submitted to the Attorney General. Yak hoped that all countries and donors will live up to their commitments to boost the peace, rehabilitation and development in south Sudan. He pointed out that several arrangements and procedure are being adopted on the ground concerning implementation of the peace agreement, such as the cease-fire, organization of the Army and establishment of joint military units.
