National Council for Child Welfare expresses concern over renewal of incidents of abduction and recruitment of children in South Kurdofan State

Khartoum, April 7(SUNA)-The Secretary-General of the National Council for Child Welfare, Amal Mahmoud has expressed concern over renewal of incidents of kidnapping and recruitment of children by rebel movements in eastern South Kurdofan State.

In a statement to SUNA, Ms Amal Mahmoud said a delegation from the Council, led by the Secretary-General inspected situations of children who were affected by assaults recently launched by rebels against the eastern parts of the State which included Al-Abbasiya,Rashad, Abu Gebaiha and Rahmaniya.

She stressed that realization of peace, protection of children at the incidents-affected areas , enhancement of services provided to them are top priorities of the Council. ASA/ma
