Japan donates 60 portable water purifiers to south Sudan

The Japanese Government has donated sixty (60) portable water purifiers to support the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) work of supplying safe water in south Sudan.

Speaking in Juba during the occasion to donate the water purifiers to the government of south Sudan, the Japanese Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Yuichi Ishii said the purifiers will improve humanitarian needs for safe water.

The UNHCR representative in South Sudan, Miss Noriko Yoshida water purifiers are from the International Peace Cooperation Headquarters, and will play an important role in supporting efforts of the GoSS ministry of health, and hospitals in improving primary health care.
