HIGHLIGHTS

• The continuous conflict in Sudan has now evolved into a protection crisis, endangering civilians, and depriving them of basic services such as health services.

• Gender-based violence (GBV) is on the rise, with reports of three female health workers raped in Al Jazirah and a female doctor killed in El Fasher, North Darfur.

• Coordination efforts are further strengthened as the Eastern sub-national hub covering States like Gedaref, Kassala, and Red Sea is now active with a new sub-national coordinator.

• Despite persistent security concerns, the further extension of the Adre border and the opening of three airports are helping to improve logistics and distribution efforts.

• During October and November 2024, the Surveillance Systems for Attacks on Health Care (SSA) recorded 20 incidents, resulting in 22 deaths and 15 injuries. These attacks affected 14 health facilities, 7 patients, 11 healthcare workers, 12 supplies, and 8 warehouses.
